Instant Brands developed a new kitchen counter food composter called the Indoor Food Recycler. The Indoor Food Recycler was very different than all the other small kitchen appliances they’ve done before. Looking to walk away from their usual Instant Pot and Air Fryer package design look, Instant Brands wanted a package design that really reflected and educated what the appliance was all about.
Front panel design incorporates a hand drawn illustration of leaves growing from the Indoor Food Recycler to symbolize the idea of food scraps turning into plants.
Right side panel takes on the opportunity and space to educate the consumer on why recycling food scraps is important and what is allowed to be recycled in the small appliance. All photography was art directed by Lyndsay Bowlin.
Left side panel explains to the consumer how the Indoor Food Recycler works. A lot of people are not familiar on how composting works so breaking down each step with photography and illustration helps the consumer understand how to use the appliance.
Back panel explains all the parts of the Indoor Food Recycler and highlights key claims.
